“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me-watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

Matthew 11:28-30

Jesus is inviting you to go on holiday with Him. This is more than a beach holiday but a break where not only is your body rejuvenated but your heart and mind is also restored and revived.

Life can wear you out and especially when you allow stuff to get to your heart and to weigh you down. When you are trying to fix your life by self. You cannot do life without your Saviour.

One of the most useless activities that wears us out is worry. Worry is circling a problem over and over again in your mind, it is a mental activity that yields no benefit, doesn’t solve the issue, but drains you emotionally. Worry is rooted in doubt; the opposite of worry is trust. Trust that God is able to take care of all the things you have committed to Him.

Jesus extends an invitation to come and spend time with Him, to really chill out in His presence and immerse yourself in His word. This will take you to a place of delight, a place of joy and a place where you return with a light heart and you live like a free spirit, not a care in the world, because you have truly surrendered everything to Him.

Will you accept the invitation to go on holiday with Jesus? Be ready to have the time of your life and to live abundantly.
