Empowering Thought

So fight with faith for the winner’s prize! Lay your hands upon eternal life, for this is your calling-celebrating in faith before the multitude of witnesses!

1Timothy 1:12

Fighting is never described as a positive activity. How can the exchange of physical blows and the use of violence help anybody? The only fight that the Bible encourages the believer to engage in is ‘the good fight of faith’.  A fight is only good when you win and in the fight of faith you already have the victory because Jesus conquered Satan at the cross; He gave that victory to you. The attacks on your life and dreams, and the various trials that come against us are Satan’s ploy to derail us so that we lose heart and quit.

When thoughts of ‘Why God?’, ‘Its been too long’ or ‘Where is the answer to the requests I placed before you in January?’ come to discourage you and to get you to quit the fight of faith, remember you are not called to fight the devil; Satan is not afraid of you, he is afraid of the word of God in you. That’s what he’s after – the word of God. So, he wears you out so that you give up on the promises of God that you are waiting on. I’m here to encourage you, I know it’s November and time is probably running out for you on some of the things you are waiting for, but whatever you do, stay in the fight! This month, I want to remind you that you are in a good fight. The victory is already yours. Keep declaring the word of God all the way don’t quit!

This is what the Bible says to you “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.  Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” ( Ephesians 6:10-13 NKJV)

It’s not over until God says so. Stay in the fight. I’m standing with you to finish the year strong.
