Empowering Thought

“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory [making us conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ”. (1 Corinthians 15:57)

“The giants of faith all had one thing in common: neither victory nor success, but passion”.

– Philip Yancey

Who is a Conqueror?

In the bible, this means Jesus went into the battle on our behalf, defeated Satan and then He handed the victory and all that it entails to you and I. This makes you more than a Conqueror!

The Apostle Paul asked the question “who can separate us from the love of Christ?” (Romans 8:37). He was implying that trials, challenges and adversities cannot separate us from the unwavering and unconditional love of the Father. In the midst of the storms of life, His love for you is intact. You can then rest in the security of God’s love for you through any circumstance or whatever season. Remember that you are loved.

When Jesus defeated the devil at Calvary, it included any past and present trials or afflictions, that will endeavour to come against you and your life. You are already (past tense) victorious over any attack. It is therefore important to face any attempt or attack in your position of victory, with the mindset of more than a Conqueror. Don’t move from your position of victory no matter what you are facing right now, or whatever comes against you. You have the victory already by faith.

Declare who you are and what you have in Christ.

The picture and description of the Proverbs 31 woman inspires me, and it is my prayer that you are also “clothed with strength and dignity” able to withstand any season of life.

Remember your battle position and who you are – More Than A Conqueror!

Finish your year strong in His Name.

2 Chronicles 20:17 AMPC

“You shall not need to fight in this battle; take your positions, stand still, and see the deliverance of the Lord [Who is] with you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Fear not nor be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you”.

Proverbs 31:25 AMPC

“Strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure; she rejoices over the future [the latter day or time to come, knowing that she and her family are in readiness for it]!”
