Meditation:

Pass through the camp and command the people, Prepare your provisions, for within three days you shall pass over this Jordan to go in to take possession of the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess.

Joshua 1:11

“Success is where preparation and opportunity meet”,

Preparation is an essential part of every journey and the process of getting things prepared for a trip, a project or anything will always set you up for a successful outcome.

After I was caught in an accident on the motorway, I learned to travel with certain items always in my car. Due to the severity of the accident, the four lanes were reduced to one and the traffic halted for literally most of the day. Hungry, cold and weary I was stuck in the car. The lesson I extracted from that experience was, ‘Always have a blanket in the trunk of the car, snacks and water’. Preparation time is never going to be lost time.

When Joshua took over from Moses to lead the Israelites to the promised land, there was a point on the journey when he commanded them to get ready and to get together all the essentials they needed in order to cross over as they were very close to taking possession of the promised land. In whatever you are asking God to do in your life, God has a significant part to play but you also have a part to play.

Are you preparing or prepared today to take possession of your dreams? What have you put in place to ensure you take possession of the next phase of your life? What do you need to do today in order to secure your ‘Promised land’?

Preparation also starts in your heart, when you acknowledge that God has called you to a big life that is beyond your comprehension. A life that is possible but not without His leading and guidance. David was a Shepherd boy who knew he was destined for greatness but it was while tending sheep that he prepared for the throne. The responsibilities of tending sheep, and protecting the sheep from attacks of wild animals prepared him to take on Goliath.

Start today by preparing and get ready to take possession of your God-given dreams. Ask the Holy Spirit in prayer, to show you any areas of your assignment and what needs to be done today. An important aspect of preparation is focus. Focus on those things that you need to do and nothing else. Remember that it’s good to plan but preparation is even better. It puts you ahead.

Get ready for your amazing incredible no limits life in Christ.
