“You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honour and power; For You created all things, And by Your will, they exist and were created.”
“Worship is simply giving God His breath back”
You were created by God to bring Him worship. This is the foundational truth that upholds your life and the truth that you are to live by daily. Worship is a declaration of how worthy God is. How worthy it is to live for Him and how honourable to live a life that brings Him worship.
Worship is a lifestyle. As a worshipper, your life posture is literally to prostrate. This means waking up each day and offering yourself, your heart, and all that is in you, and all that you are and all that you do in that day, in honour and reverence to your Creator and Heavenly Father.
The meaning of worship is “appropriate treatment of something or someone of worth.”
The question is “Is my life expressing how worthy God is? Am I expressing this in my daily living?”
Your worship is your expression of your love and adoration for the Father. It overflows out of your communing with Him and into all you do in your life. You were created in the image of your God and to spend time with your Creator spirit to spirit.
Today is a reminder that you were created as a worshipper and to encourage you to bring worship to your King in all you do. To remind you that any acts that you do, let it be a proclamation of your worship to the King of Kings.
In your prayer today express His “worth-ship” to God. Tell Him how worthy and awesome He is. Lift God up in whatever you do today and put worship back in its rightful place. Let your life be a lifestyle of worship.
