    Too Many Choices?

Empowering Thought:  “I have decided to stick to love. Hate is too great a burden to bear”   – Martin Luther King Jr.

Why are people so unhappy, unsatisfied and miserable? Yet we live in a day and time where there is so much choice and you can have things immediately!

The world lies to us and this is nothing new. I have decided to choose the eternal unchanging truths of God’s word. God was here before I got here and will be here when I’m long gone.

I believe in the principle of the seed. Everything that God started He starts with a seed, it is a process and every process has a beginning, middle and an end.

You and I have the power of choice or the free will to choose how we will travel in this life, what we will allow in our life and what we will not allow. The power of choice is the most powerful thing given to humanity by God. You cannot control events but you can control how you will react or respond to anything. Response is a much more carefully thought out plan that comes from your heart, however when you react it is usually ‘off the top of your head’ in the moment.

I want to encourage you; whatever decisions that are in front of you this week, this month and any choice that you have to make remember you have the power of choice!

    Choose Wisely

Empowering Thought: There Is Power In My Choice

‘The choices you make today take you where you go tomorrow’

Your choices are so important and they are never made in isolation, every decision you make doesn’t just touch your life dear friend but it also impacts your family, friends and may I add the next generation.

I don’t think you, like me, have the next generation on your mind when you are making decisions in your life. The laws of sowing and reaping are very real and operational, and come into the equation in consequences and repercussions.

I pray that God guides you in all your decisions today. Be prayerful and intentional about your life choices.

    Remain Blessed

    Who Is Travelling With You?

“The righteous choose their friends carefully …

    Proverbs 12:26

In the gospel of Luke (Luke 8:49-55) Jesus was on His way to pray for a little girl who was very ill and on the way He stopped to heal the woman with the issue of blood, then He learned that the child had died. When Jesus heard that Jairus’s daughter had died while He was on the way to pray for her, the bible says when He got there He chose only Peter, James and John to go in with Him. This is so powerful as the situation was negative He selected carefully who would go in with Him  to pray for the little girl.

Whoever is travelling up close and personal with you will impact your belief and faith.

Be prayerful and seek wisdom dear fellow traveler on who you allow into your inner circle.

Allow the Spirit of God to guide you in all your friendships and relationships.

God will carry me when I’m tired

He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.

    Isaiah 40:29 NLT

In the same way that God told the Israelites on their journey through the wilderness that He personally carried them as an eagle carries its young, so the Lord will lift you up and carry you when you are tired on the way. He knows that fatigue and weariness is going to be a part of your journey.

My question to you is ‘Are you tired? Do you need a lift and a raise?  If that’s you this week then I’m also standing with you in prayer for the lift and the raise you need. All you have to do is ask Him, allow the strength of the Father to lift you up and it is my prayer that you continue to soar on eagles wings.

The goal is to know Jesus

Above all the goals I set for myself yearly I have one goal that is always on my list it is articulated succinctly in Philippians “I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death,” (Philippians 3:10 NLT)

It’s taken me a long time and I’m not there yet but I have learned and learning that a life worth living is making Christ the centre and focus of all I do. All the other goals you and I desire in our lives or are aspiring to can be accessed when Jesus is the centre of all you are and do.

Wake up everyday and simply  press toward this higher goal of knowing Jesus. When you get to know somebody really well you get to know their character and who they really are. By getting to know Jesus you get to know His true nature and His power in your life. You navigate your life from a powerful place.

Focus on Jesus every step of the way. He will get you to your  ‘there’

Focus only on the good, the noble, the gracious, what is true …

Whatever you magnify in your life will become true. So the Apostle Paul also encourages us to think on only the ‘honourable, the pure and the good things’ ( Philippians 4:8) in other words only magnify and lift up the Name Of God and His word.

It does not mean you are oblivious to all the negative in and around you but you choose to focus on what is true and the truth of God’s word. The doorway to feelings of anxiety and stress and all the negative emotions is from your thoughts.

Choose to think on the good that you have in your life today. Focus on the family and friends who are there for you. Don’t dwell on the ones who have hurt you or abandoned you. Be selective with what you focus on.

Fix your mind all you know to be true. Stay mentally strong this week.

    Look Up

    Power Thought

Don’t look back, don’t look around,  only look up!

I returned to the gym after a period of injury so my body was still repairing, I was not as agile and quick as I used to be. While I was on the step machine I looked to my left and to my right at the level of the workout of those around me and I began to suddenly feel discouraged. In that moment I heard the spirit of God say to me ‘ Don’t look back, don’t look around you but only keep your eye on Me’.  I immediately changed my focus. It is the same with our spiritual journey the quickest route to discouragement is to start to look at others on the way. But your Heavenly Father is reminding you today to narrow your focus, look at God, look at what He has done and what will do and just keep stepping.

The only way you get to any destination is to continue to put one foot in front of the other and keep going at whatever pace is comfortable for you.

That’s how I also work out now I only look ahead and upwards and I’m learning to do the same on my spiritual journey.

    Words To Keep You Going

    Psalm 121:1-2 MSG

I look up to the mountains; does my strength come from mountains? No, my strength comes from God, who made heaven, and earth, and mountains.

    Prepare For The Day

I Am Prepared And Ready For My God ………

“Winter is a season of recovery and preparation”

    – Paul Theroux

As we approach  the end of March and also officially usher in the spring season, my favourite time of the year not only because I’m born in March but it reminds me that whatever spiritual seeds I have planted will also start to blossom in this season.

As the clocks spring forward, are you prepared spiritually for the season change?

As a little girl of 10 I learned to live by the Girl Guide motto “Be Prepared”. Being prepared  means that you are always ready to cope with any and everything that is coming or comes your way.

Today, this week prepare your heart, do your part and do your best and wait expectantly for what the Lord is bringing to your life.

Remember that preparation positions you on the success road.

    God Is With You

When I pass through …… You Are With Me

Sometimes the knowledge that ‘God is with you’ can become just another cliche, but this week He wants to remind you that wherever you are and whatever you are passing through He is with you. Become aware and more conscious of the ever abiding presence of your God who is always with you.

As you press on in the year and step into spring remember the God of angels armies is with you, He was your God through the dark long winter and He’s with you in the spring time and will be with you through the blossoms of summer, He will shine through the dark colours of the autumn season.

So you my friend are never without company or support. Let these words uplift you today

“When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” (Isaiah 43:2 NLT)

Here’s the beautiful thing God is with you also through the joys and celebrations of your life.

    Have a power filled week!

    Pass It On …

I Will Pass On Whatever Truth You Reveal To Me

We are all on a spiritual sojourn travelling through this world. The good news is that you and I are never alone the Lord is with us, He is in us and He goes ahead of us on this journey. If you are ahead of me or He reveals anything to you that will empower others coming behind or those who are not there yet, please don’t keep it to yourself, pass it on.

Only pass on the things that will encourage and strengthen others on their journey. Don’t pass on the bitterness and pain from your experiences but pass on the learning outcomes you have derived from your journey in order to strengthen other travellers.

The Apostle Paul modelled this truth to us on his spiritual journey: “Friends, let me go over the Message with you one final time—this Message that I proclaimed and that you made your own; this Message on which you took your stand and by which your life has been saved. (I’m assuming, now, that your belief was the real thing and not a passing fancy, that you’re in this for good and holding fast.)”

    (1 Corinthians 15:1-2 MSG)

Hold onto His word and pass it on.
