    Go On Holiday With Jesus

    Power Thought

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me-watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

    Matthew 11:28-30

Jesus is inviting you to go on holiday with Him. This is more than a beach holiday but a break where not only is your body rejuvenated but your heart and mind is also restored and revived.

    He Restores My Soul

    Power Thought

He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.

    Psalm 23:3

Restore: “to lead back, to bring back to a place of health”

God is in the business of restoration, renewal and redemption. God’s redemption began in the garden of Eden when Adam and Eve sinned. He immediately activated His plan of redemption for humanity. To ensure that everything He planned for you would be fulfilled.

    Run To The Throne

Power Thought: The name of the LORD is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe.
    Proverbs 18:10

When you are afraid, in trouble of any kind or your heart is overwhelmed run to the throne of your God. It is the safest place to seek refuge, get help and where your heart will be preserved and stabilised. God is and wants to be your first port of call before you call anyone or talk to any of your friends, share your heart with the Father first. His loving arms are ever ready and open wide to embrace you and hold through whatever you are facing or need to share.

    Live boldly & Courageously

Power Thought: The Lord Is My Light and Salvation – Whom Shall I Fear?
    Psalm 27:1

Fear is the number one enemy of our lives. Fear is a normal emotion that warns us of danger but the fear that comes to immobilise us and stops us is not healthy fear. Fear is a spirit that comes to stop you from living and enjoying the abundant overdrive that Jesus came to give you.

    How Is Your Heart?

Power Thought: “The Heart is the mainspring” – Smith Wigglesworth

The heart is the centre of your life. It is made up of your thoughts, emotions and will. It is where you direct your life and all the affairs of life. The Bible tells us to protect and nurture our heart with tender loving care. In the same way you have to look after the natural heart as the place where blood is pumped to all the different parts of the body and gives life and strength to your body so it is with your soul heart. It is where your passions, creativity and all your life flows from. It is a very valuable place.

    Invest In Your #1 Relationship

    Power Thought

Do you still love Jesus and feel the same way as the day you met Him?

    Meditate On

Nevertheless, I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

    Revelation 2:4 NKJV

Do you remember the day you fell in love with Jesus? The day your heart and your life melted into His hands?  Pause and reflect on this.

    Let Go

    Power Thought

“I am learning to love the sound of my feet walking away from things not meant for me”

    Meditate On

As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.

    Proverbs 27:17 NKJV

I have realised that energy is contagious and so is attitude. When somebody is full of energy and life as you spend time with them you are drawn into their mood and ambience, the opposite is also true when you spend time with someone who has a negative attitude and complains about everything this saps your energy and their attitude impacts you.

    One Step At A Time

    Power Thought
“A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step”

    Meditate On
And the LORD said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.
    Exodus 14:15

Every new day God bestows fresh mercy and grace for that new day (Lamentations 3:23) which powers you to take a step forward in the direction of your life. This grace is available and is yours and all you have to do literally is put one foot in front of the other today and keep stepping. That is the way you get to any goal, desire or destination.

    Finish Strong

    Empowering Thought

“Starting strong is good. Finishing strong is epic”
    Robin Sharma

    Reflect On This:
I have not yet reached my goal, and I am not perfect. But Christ has taken hold of me. So I keep on running and struggling to take hold of the prize
    (Philippians 5:12 CEV)

December is here; it’s either a sigh of relief or a sigh of “ooh dear I can’t believe the year is ending already”. But wherever you are on the journey I want to encourage you to keep pressing on and reaching for the high life that Jesus promised you. It’s within your reach and you are closer than when you started. If you can just take a moment and look behind you. You have covered a lot of ground you have continued through the year to where you are now. You are stronger than you think, you are here because you kept going and you need to finish strong.

    Slow To Speak

    Empowering Thought

“Silence is the sleep that nourishes wisdom” – Francis Bacon

This is my daily mantra now; ‘Jayne be slow to speak…’ and a daily confession that enables me to navigate my relationships. Being watchful of my words, speaking from my heart and not off the top of my head. I don’t always get it right but I’m learning to become mindful of functioning this way. When I get it wrong I also try to be quick to make things right. I treasure relationships and do my best to hold onto them.
